北京邮电大学南太平洋地区研究中心

北京邮电大学南太平洋地区研究中心是教育部国别和区域研究备案中心。中心依托我校南太平洋大学孔子学院，利用我校信息通信及网络优势，全面落实“一带一路”教育行动方针，服务国家外交、新基建大局。中心以汉语语言教学与中国文化传播为首要工作任务，同时调研南太平洋地区的历史、政治、经济、科技和社会状况，建立资料库，借助北邮特色优势，通过数据分析，梳理、总结南太平洋地区相关领域发展态势，为我国相关部门提供客观的咨政建议。目前中心已获批两个教育部国别和区域研究项目和一个“一带一路”教科文卫引智项目。

Center for South Pacific Studies, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications

Center for South Pacific Studies, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (BUPT) is an officially recorded research center under the leadership exercised by Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China. The center was founded on the basis of the Confucius Institute at the University of the South Pacific. By taking the advantage of information communication and network technology of BUPT, the center aims to fully carry out the principles of “Belt and Road Action on education”, and support the national diplomacy and the new infrastructure construction. The center puts the Chinese language teaching and culture transmission as its top priority. At the same time, it conducts researches on the history, politics, economy and society of the South Pacific and strives to get better knowledge of the development trend for certain fields in the region through data collection and scientific analysis, thus providing senior advice for relevant national departments in China. Since its founding, the center has successfully established two projects on international and regional studies supported by the Ministry of Education as well as one OEI under "Belt and Road Initiative" in Cultural and Educational Sector.
